Responsible Ferret Ownership

Before you go ahead and get yourself a ferret learn about them!

Read books, look at websites and talk to as many ferret owners as possible. Meet as many ferts as possible. Don't always believe everything and try to form your own opinions.

Prepare yourself for your new arrival, get a ferret house, bedding, food etc (take a look at my equipment list) Also find a ferret friendly vet once your new fert is with you, you will have to plan injections, health checks and neutering.

Think about ferrets' lots, do you have the space and time for these little critters, have the money in case anything goes wrong or to pay for insurance? Are all family members happy to go ahead and get a monster?

Once you think your ready and know enough, prepare to learn even more from your furry ferret friend.
